Group-ImageGroup psychotherapy is a professional service we can provide as licensed psychologists. Similarly to individual psychotherapy, group therapy seeks to address emotional and relational issues and encourages awareness, growth, and freedom. Unlike individual therapy, the group therapist selects candidates who would be helped by the group experience and who can be appropriate learning partners for one another. Group therapy focuses on interpersonal interactions. In this way, relational issues are best addressed in groups. In fact, the group and its relationships are the therapy.

As group facilitators, it is our job to provide a productive examination of the issues and concerns affecting the members and the groups. Your job is simply to be you, as authentically as you can, and to follow basic group agreements such as having a consistent presence, showing up on time, and putting your feelings into words. You can think, feel, and express yourself freely and you must be willing to take a look at the reactions and interactions of other people in the group.
